The "Kernels of our Future” is an International Educational Program for young emerging leaders, based on informal education. It encompasses a series of activities destined to promote personal development, challenge perspectives, and enhance leadership qualities. Furthermore, the program gives the teenagers the opportunity to establish an International Network. It equips the youngster with the tools enabling them to become the leaders of tomorrow. “Kernels of Our Future” can provide unparalleled foundations to take them ahead in today’s global setting and equip them with skills, which can be more than useful in many other contexts in their future.

The program aims at bringing together young people aged 15-18 years old from more than 10 European countries and abroad, such as Italy, France, Denmark, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Israel, Turkey, and the U.S.. During the 2 weeks program the youngsters will learn more about leadership, conflict management, microeconomics and trade, media techniques, civil society and its role, human rights and the political process through lectures, simulation games and interactive learning. The language of teaching is English, as this is an international program.

The participants are awarded with a Certificate at the Graduation ceremony to attest the acquired knowledge and skills.

The “Kernels of our Future 2010” will take place from 18th July to 4th August.

Testimonies

 Kinga Kovas - Hungary

“It was simply an amazing experience to be in an environment with people who are eager to be leaders, who try to do their best because they believe they can make a difference in the world. I loved meeting all these people and participate in lectures of topics that were discussed with teens in my age. I also liked the fact that these discussions went on during lunchtime and in the bedrooms.”

Palma Mozes - Hungary

“It has been a great opportunity to make friends from all over the world and also a good chance to practice my speaking skills in English. I got to know the Greek traditions; culture and habits, as well as many of my new friends’ cultures. I also had the chance to learn from people of great knowledge and experience.”
