Many visitors to Greece will not need to obtain a visa for visits to Greece of up to 90 days. This includes citizens of all other European Union countries, Canada, Australia, Japan, and the United States.

These days, as security arrangements change rapidly, visa requirements can also change at any time. Please verify your needs directly with the local Greek consulate in your state of origin.

As of March 2009, no visa was required for regular passport holders from the following states for stays of maximum 90 days or less:

Requirements for other countries vary substantially and should be verified with the local Greek Embassy or Consulate in that country.

G.A.A.E.C. cooperates with Greek Embassies or Consulates abroad in order to help Kernels participants to obtain Greek visa by providing all relevant certification and invitation letters to speed up the process.
