Kernels of our Future

Who can apply/ participate?

Every girl and boy aged 15 to 18 can participate in the Kernels of Our Future. The program is designed for all the European Union Citizens, as well as the Citizens of the Middle East, and the United States of America.

Requirements, topics of the essay and safety rules:

The principle requirement is the level of English, enabling the participant-to-be to communicate freely with other participants and the lecturers. In order to apply for the program, the teenagers are required to compose an essay describing their primary interest in spending their summer abroad with GAAEC, what they hope to gain from the experience, and what they believe they can contribute to it. The essay shall not exceed 300 words.

They are also asked to fill in the application form that can be also found above, and get familiar with the safety rules that have to be followed and respected by all the participants.

Fees information, scholarships and reimbursement:

The cost per participant is 2.500 € (app. 3.200 $) and includes everything on site:

~ accommodation in double A/C rooms with private facilities

~ three meals per day for 16 days,

~ organized tours of Chania, Heraklion - Knossos & other sites,

~ local transportation for outings,

~ supervising instructors and facilitators,

~ materials, including books, bag, T-shirt, hat, etc..
